Steelers fans, January 8th was your last time seeing Hines Ward in a Steelers uniform. After 14 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers they have released the veteran wide receiver. Steelers are dealing with a tight salary cap and chose to go with their younger receivers Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown. Ward was drafted to the Steelers in 1998. The MVP of the 2006 Super Bowl will finish his Steelers career with 1,000 catches, 12,083 yards and 85 receiving touchdowns. He helped Pittsburgh to three AFC championships and a pair of Super Bowl wins. Hines has said “this isn’t how I wanted this chapter of my career to end” he also said he would return in the fall for a 15th season. I wonder what team we will be seeing him on next season.

Pittsburgh Steelers fall to the Baltimore Ravens 7-35. It’s only week 1, no time to panic for the defending AFC Champs.
